A low protein whole-food plant-based diet is centered on whole, unrefined, or minimally refined plants. It’s a diet based on fruits, vegetables, tubers, whole grains, and legumes; and it minimizes meat (including chicken and fish), dairy products, and eggs, as well as highly refined foods like bleached flour, refined sugar, and oil. However IT IS NOT A VEGAN DIET.
You can vary the diet to your particular daily eating regime. The important point is that your eating is in line with a low protein whole food plant based philosophy. It does not mean that you cannot eat meat chicken or fish or refined foods on occasion.
